Harjatud kuusk sobib suurepäraselt sisetingimustesse. Sisevoodrilaudadel saab puidu struktuurset pinda rõhutada osavalt läbimõeldud valgustuse abil.
Harjamine toob esile puidu tekstuuri, rõhutab seda ning annab laudadele vana puidu efekti. Lisaks visuaalsele efektile on harjatud laudade kasutamisel ka oluline praktiline väärtus: suureneb puidu pinnatugevus, sest pehmemad puidu osad harjatakse välja ning kriimustused ja muljumisjäljed ei teki nii kergelt.
Kuuse termotöötlus toimub spetsiaalses kambris, kus puit kuumutatakse 180 kraadini ja rõhk tõstetakse kuni 9 baarini. Termotöötluse eelis on tema keskkonnasõbralikkus: puitu töödeldakse vaid kõrge temperatuuri ja veeauruga. Töötluse käigus väheneb puidu tihedus ja muutub selle struktuur, mille tõttu vähenevad kuuse niiskusimavus ja niiskuseraldus. Töötlus parandab ka puidu omadusi: suureneb vastupidavus seenkahjustustele.
Termopuit on tavapuidust märksa tulekindlam, lisaks paraneb puidu soojus- ja heliisolatsioon. Termotöötlus annab ka suurepärase visuaalse efekti: kuumutamise käigus omandab kuusk ilusa pruuni tooni.
