STS3 Respect is a modern, innovative, and environmentally responsibly produced sauna cladding board. The board surface has an approximately 2mm layer of high-quality wood, while production by-products are used for the base without compromising the quality of the finished product. The laminated body gives the product better stability while significantly extending the use of raw material and CO2 storage.
The product was created to offer customers a more flexible choice of dimensions that would not be possible with conventional technology. The STS3 profile is characterized by narrow square grooves between the cladding boards. The STS3 profile can also be beautifully combined with other special profiles to create an expressive steam room.
Natural alder is an excellent material for the sauna because, as a hardwood, it contains no resin. Alder wood is truly unique: freshly sawn alder is bright white, but soon turns yellowish, then orange, then dark orange, and finally develops pink and purple tones. The color of alder often intensifies as the wood ages. Alder also has a beautiful texture, a pleasantly sweet scent, and very good durability. To keep lighter sauna material beautiful for a long time, it should be treated with a sauna protectant.
