Two-layer active vapour barrier made from polypropylene nonwoven and a functional film that regulates drying of moisture in the structure both towards and away from the vapour barrier layer. Unlike conventional vapour barrier films, the membrane’s active properties help prevent condensation. The membrane has two tape/adhesive strips.
Application: The membrane is designed as a vapour barrier that protects the structure against water vapour ingress. Its unique properties actively regulate vapour movement, preventing condensation and resulting damage to timber structures. Ensure that overlaps are firmly bonded. For membranes without adhesive strips, use dedicated Eurovent tape.
Storage/transport: Store protected from moisture and UV radiation in a dry room, in sealed and undamaged packaging. Rolls may be transported in covered/enclosed vehicles and must be packed to protect them from damage. Protect the product from chemicals, especially solvent-based substances, as these may reduce its technical performance or cause permanent damage.
SK2 system: The membrane has two tape/adhesive strips. This simplifies installation and ensures proper sealing of overlaps. The two strips provide a durable membrane connection in all weather conditions: high humidity, strong wind, rain and low temperatures.
