- The L-block is specially designed to simplify construction of an insulated slab foundation for a small residential building.
- Because the L-block must support the entire load of the house, it is manufactured as a monolithic block from the strongest EPS material, EPS 200.
- We manufacture L-blocks with different top edges on the vertical section: U, where the top corners are right angles; and V, where the top edge is cut inward at 60 degrees.
- The insulation thickness of the vertical and horizontal sections of the L-block is 95 mm.
- EPS 100 insulation material must not be used in such a structurally critical area as beneath the foundation footing.
Installation instructions:
- remove the topsoil from beneath the foundation
- install the utilities beneath the foundation
- fill and compact the area beneath the foundation to the required height
- install the L-blocks according to the foundation dimensions
- support the outside of the L-block with fill material
- install the underfloor insulation, preferably in multiple layers
- install reinforcement, the required pipework and cables
- fill the foundation with concrete, starting the pour from the lowest sections
