Corner profiles are an essential component of every facade insulation project. They are used on the external corners of facade insulation systems to protect them from mechanical damage. The alkali-resistant perforated PVC profile and fibreglass mesh comply with ETAG 004 requirements.
- Protection against mechanical damage: Protects the external corners of doors and/or windows and wall corners from mechanical damage, thereby extending the service life of the facade and reducing the need for repairs.
- Crack prevention: Helps prevent cracks at joints, providing a stronger and more durable structure.
- Attractive appearance: Makes it possible to create straight corners, giving the building a professional and attractive appearance.
Preparation: Prepare the corner profiles, insulation boards and reinforcing compound. Reinforcing compound: Cover the insulation board evenly with reinforcing compound. Positioning the profile: Align the corner profile vertically. Securing the mesh: Press the mesh attached to the profile into the compound and smooth out the compound that comes through the mesh openings. Then gradually cover the remaining mesh with a layer of compound. Overlap: When joining the profile to another profile and/or fibreglass reinforcing mesh, allow for a 10 cm overlap between the meshes. Inspection: Check that the profile fits correctly and make final adjustments if necessary. Follow the instructions to effectively protect external corners against possible damage.
