• Main profiles: Interior cladding boards, exterior cladding boards, floorboards, decking boards, square timber and planed timber.
• Spike knots: No restrictions.
• Sound knots, including black knots: No restrictions.
• Bark-ringed knots: No restrictions.
• Broken rotten knots: No restrictions.
• Loose knots or knot holes: No restrictions.
• Maximum number of knots per metre: No restrictions.
• Narrow checks: No restrictions.
• End splits: No restrictions.
• Ring shakes: No restrictions.
• Wane and mechanical damage: Not permitted on the exposed face of profiled boards.
• Resin pockets: No restrictions.
• Inbark: No restrictions.
• Compression wood: No restrictions.
• Fungal damage: Mould is not permitted. Incipient decay and blue stain are permitted.
• Insect damage: No restrictions.
• Moisture content: 16 ± 2%.
• Surface quality: Unplaned areas on the exposed face are permitted over a total length of up to four times the board width. Unplaned areas along the edges of the wide face are permitted on up to 20% of the pieces, covering up to 20% of the board width on the poorer face.
• Dimensional tolerances: Length: ±10 mm. Thickness: ±0.5 mm. Width: ±0.5 mm.
• All conditions apply unless otherwise agreed in writing. A maximum deviation from the grading rules of 5% of the total number of pieces is permitted.
