Unseasoned timber is primarily suitable for structures where the wood’s natural moisture content is not an obstacle. As the wood dries, its dimensions may change slightly, and cracking or warping may occur. These are natural characteristics of unseasoned sawn timber.
As this is unseasoned material, the wood retains a natural environment in which microorganisms can survive. Mould and wood-destroying pests may occur or continue to spread both on and inside the material.
