Edge-glued panels are made from narrow pieces of calibrated timber joined together along their edges. The panel’s dimensions remain relatively stable because stresses arising in one part are offset and balanced in another. As a result, edge-glued panels are stronger and more durable than ordinary wooden boards and do not crack, split during drying or warp.
Edge-glued panels are intended for furniture making, stair construction, crafts and interior furnishing. They are also widely used to manufacture window and door frames.
