STP is one of the most classic sauna cladding board profiles. It has characteristic narrower grooves between cladding boards with rounded edges, creating a streamlined visual impression. The STP profile can also be excellently combined with other, more expressive profiles.
Thermo-aspen is one of the most widely used materials in sauna steam rooms. Thanks to thermal modification, aspen achieves an even warm, honey-like light brown tone.
During thermal modification, wood gains several valuable properties – it becomes more stable and more resistant to external environmental effects. In addition, the wood moisture percentage decreases and the wood’s thermal conductivity is reduced, which makes it especially suitable for sauna rooms.
Thermally modified wood is also well suited for living spaces because no chemicals or other additives are used during thermal modification, only high temperature. Thermal modification is a natural and environmentally friendly way to enhance wood that does not create harmful waste.
