Murfor® Compact-A bed joint reinforcement is a braided steel mesh supplied in rolls. One roll contains 30m of reinforcement. Its low weight (one roll weighs 3kg) and compact dimensions make it safe and easy to transport and store, with no special lifting equipment required. During use, the reinforcement is easy to unroll and cut to the required length, reducing cutting waste.
Reinforcement of block masonry is recommended, but not mandatory. Murfor® Compact-A reinforcement mesh is used to reduce the risk of cracking in bauroc block walls. Non-load-bearing walls narrower than 3m generally do not require reinforcement. On every floor, bauroc block walls should be reinforced in the first joint, every fourth joint, and the last joint.
