VELUX Premium roof windows

VELUX Premium roof windows combine contemporary design, ease of use and advanced glazing features. Depending on the glazing unit selected, the windows provide better thermal and sound insulation as well as additional features such as anti-dew or easy-to-clean coatings.

Manually operated top-opening GGL/GGU roof windows

VELUX GGL and GGU roof windows are easy to open using the ergonomic handle at the top of the window. Top operation makes the window easy to use even when furniture is placed underneath it.

• GGL – a roof window made of lacquered laminated pine.

• GGU – a roof window with a white, maintenance-free polyurethane coating.

• Recommended installation height: the bottom edge of the window up to 120 cm above the floor.

• A ventilation flap integrated into the handle allows the room to be aired even when the window is closed.

• A filter helps protect the room from dust and insects.

Manually operated top-hung GPL/GPU roof windows

VELUX GPL and GPU are dual-operation top-hung roof windows that open outwards and provide a wide, unobstructed panoramic view. The handle at the bottom of the window makes opening easy.

• GPL – a roof window made of lacquered laminated pine.

• GPU – a roof window with a white, maintenance-free polyurethane coating.

• The outward-opening design creates a greater sense of space and lets you enjoy a panoramic view.

• The integrated ventilation flap allows the room to be aired even when the window is closed.

• For cleaning, the window can be rotated 180° around its axis and secured in the cleaning position.

• A filter helps protect the room from dust and insects.

Glazing units

Glazing unit 68 – improved thermal insulation
Triple glazing that includes the standard VELUX Premium features and offers enhanced energy efficiency. It helps reduce the sensation of cold near the window in winter.

Glazing unit 66 – easy to clean with an anti-dew coating
Triple glazing helps reduce the sensation of cold and outside noise. The easy-to-clean exterior surface and anti-dew coating help maintain a clearer view through the window.

Glazing unit 62 – improved sound insulation
A highly thermally insulating, noise-reducing glazing unit that reduces noise by up to 42 dB. It is well suited to buildings where greater protection from outside noise and cold weather is desired.

Materials and finish

• Exterior cladding: weather-resistant aluminium cladding in NCS S 7500-N grey / RAL 7043.

• Solid wood version: made of laminated pine. A clear water-based lacquer protects the wood from dirt and moisture.

• White maintenance-free version: the timber core is covered with a waterproof polyurethane coating. The maintenance-free, moisture-resistant surface is particularly suitable for kitchens and bathrooms.
