Kasutatakse betooni valutöödel, kus vajalik betooni paisumine kivinemisel. Kivinemisel betoon paisub ca 2 % oma mahust. Pärast kuivsegule vee lisamist on valamiseks aega kuni 20 minutit. Hilisemal valamisel väheneb paisumisefekt nullini. Kivinenud betoonil on hea survetugevus ja külmakindlus.
