Tuplex koosneb kahest kilekihist, millest pealmine ei lase aluspõranda niiskusel ülespoole liikuda ja kihtide vahel on pehmed EPS graanulid, mis tagavad aluspõranda ja põrandakatte vahelise õhu liikumise. Peamised eelised:
- Heli summutavad omadused.
- Kompenseerib aluspõranda ebatasasusi.
- Hoiab ära aluspõrandast niiskuse jõudmise põrandakatteni. Lisa niiskustõket aluspõrandale ei ole vaja.
