Tuplex on spetsiaalne aluskate, mis paigaldatakse aluspõrandale enne puitparketi või laminaadi ujuvpaigaldust ehk liimita paigaldust. Tuplex koosneb kahest kilekihist, millest pealmine ei lase aluspõranda niiskusel ülespoole liikuda ja kihtide vahel on pehmed EPS graanulid, mis tagavad aluspõranda ja põrandakatte vahelise õhu liikumise. Peamised eelised:
- Heli summutavad omadused.
- Kompenseerib aluspõranda ebatasasusi.
- Hoiab ära aluspõrandast niiskuse jõudmise põrandakatteni. Lisa niiskustõket aluspõrandale ei ole vaja.
- Graanulite paigutus võimaldab aluspõranda ja põrandakatte vahelist õhu liikumist.
