STP is one of the most classic sauna cladding board profiles. It has characteristic narrower grooves between cladding boards with rounded edges, creating a streamlined look. The STP profile can also be beautifully combined with other, more striking profiles.
Natural alder is an excellent material for the sauna because, as a hardwood, it contains no resin. Alder wood is truly unique: freshly sawn alder is bright white, but soon turns yellowish, then orange, then dark orange, and finally develops pink and purple tones. The color of alder often intensifies as the wood ages. Alder also has a beautiful texture, a pleasantly sweet scent, and very good durability. To keep lighter sauna material beautiful for a long time, it should be treated with a sauna protectant.
