Thermo-bamboo decking board 20x155x1850mm X-treme end-matched

MOSO® Bamboo X-treme® is a solid Thermo-Density® bamboo decking board made from compressed bamboo strips. A special thermal modification process at approximately 200 °C gives the material the highest possible durability class according to European standards. Compressing the bamboo further increases the board’s hardness, strength and dimensional stability.

One special feature of MOSO® Bamboo X-treme® decking boards is the end-matched joining system, which allows boards to be connected lengthwise. This solution is possible only with very stable materials and enables practically unlimited terrace lengths.

The symmetrical board profile allows a choice between two top surfaces – grooved or smooth. It also ensures quick and convenient installation with the MOSO® fastening system.

Like most tropical hardwoods, MOSO® Bamboo X-treme® develops a natural silver-grey patina outdoors over time if the surface is not finished. This gives the terrace an elegant and natural look.

Installation and maintenance:

• Use suitable, strong, stable and durable substructure beams. MOSO® recommends using MOSO® Bamboo substructure beams.
• Before installation, decide which side of the board you want to use – grooved or smooth.
• Fasten the boards to the substructure with MOSO® fastening clips installed in the side grooves of the boards. Alternatively, the boards can be screwed through the top surface.
• It is recommended to install the terrace with a 1-2% slope and ensure good ventilation.
• If the terrace is not regularly treated with oil intended for outdoor use, the surface will naturally turn silver-grey over time and the bamboo grain will become less visible.
• To preserve the rich brown tone, the manufacturer recommends using exterior impregnating oil for hardwood. The first maintenance oiling is recommended 3-4 months after installation.
• Store decking boards before installation in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight, precipitation, dirt and dust.
