Põrandalaud on valmistatud hoolikalt sorteeritud erikuivast kuusepuidust. Toode sobib kasutamiseks vaid siseruumides. NB! Hilisema kokku kuivamise ohu vähendamiseks on oluline, et laudade niiskuse tase vastaks ruumi õhu suhtelisele niiskusele paigaldamise ajal. Seepärast on enne paigaldamist oluline, et põrandalaud saaks vähemalt kaks nädalat enne paigaldamist samas ruumis stabiliseeruda.

Kuusest valmistatud põrandalaudu pole vaja faasitud servade tõttu eraldi lihvida. Lisaks on tänu otsatapi olemasolule võimalik kuusest põrandalaudu paigaldada nagu parketti ehk pikkuse erinevusest tekkivad kaod on seeläbi võimalik viia miinimumini.
