Radon barrier film is designed for installation beneath foundations to prevent radon gas from entering the building. It is suitable as a passive radon barrier for most foundation types, helping improve indoor air quality and protect structures.
For effective performance, install the film according to current installation instructions and standards. The minimum overlap between sheets must be 150 mm and all joints must be sealed with dedicated radon barrier tapes. All penetrations must also be carefully sealed with suitable tapes and/or mastics.
Before installation, ensure that the substrate is smooth and free from sharp stones or other objects that could damage the film. Repair any damage according to the manufacturer’s instructions to maintain the full performance of the radon barrier.
