Termohaab on üks enim kasutatud materjale sauna leiliruumis. Tänu termotöötlusele saavutab haab ühtlaselt sooja, mesiselt helepruunika tooni. Lisaks omandab puit mitmeid väärtuslikke omadusi – puit muutub väliskeskkonna mõjudele stabiilsemaks ja vastupidavamaks. Ühtlasi langeb puidu niiskusprotsent ja väheneb puidu soojusjuhtivus, tänu millele sobib see eriti hästi saunaruumidesse.
