When combining boards from different batches and lengths, please note that colour differences may occur between products!
Waxing uses Teknowax 1160 interior finishing wax, which is white as standard but can be tinted in the most common translucent stain shades. During the waxing process, the board is sanded before the wax is applied. The wax is applied in one layer on a high-pressure spray line; after drying, the board is polished with special polishing brushes to give the product an even, smooth and silky finish. The waxed surface leaves a semi-transparent matte, natural and warm silky finish that is also very easy to clean and durable. Knots and other natural wood patterns do not stand out as sharply and blend much more evenly with the wood texture than with opaque paint. Fasten with 4mm cladding clips.
Meets AB grade quality requirements. According to these, the following are also allowed:
- Sound knots, including black knots – permitted up to 1/5 of the board width in diameter.
- Bark knots – occasional closed knots are permitted on the visible face, max. 1/10 of the board width; no restrictions below 10mm.
- Loose knot or knot hole – not permitted on the broad face; permitted on the edge if joining two pieces does not leave a through-hole, up to 1/10 of the board width.
- Maximum permitted number of knots per metre – no restrictions.
- End splits – permitted up to the board width in length, in max. 10% of pieces, including through splits.
- Resin pockets – max. length 25mm or total length max. 100mm, width not over 1mm. Under 10mm is not counted.
