Krunt kanda aluspinnale lahjendamata kujul pintsli, maalrirulli või pihustiga. Sõltuvalt imavusest kanda pinnale mitu kihti. Kuivamisaeg sõltuvalt aluspinna ja õhutemperatuurist 30 min – 2 h. Töövahendid pesta kohe peale kruntimist veega.
