Unseasoned timber is primarily suitable for structural applications where the natural moisture content of the wood is not an obstacle. As the wood dries, its dimensions may change slightly, and cracking or warping may occur, which are natural characteristics of unseasoned sawn timber.
As this is unseasoned timber, it retains a natural environment for microorganisms. Mold growth and wood-boring pests may be present or continue to develop on and inside the timber.
