Kivipuu puit valmistatakse looduslähedaste meetoditega ja hoolikalt valitud Soome männist. Valmistamisel ei kasutata kemikaale, mis võiksid tundlikku nahka ärritada. See toode sobib hästi välisterrassidele ning -voodriks. Umbes aasta möödudes muutub Kivipuu puit päikese mõjul ilusaks halliks. Aja möödudes kui ta muutub halliks, võib tekkida pealispinnal nn “kohevus”, mis on osa kivipuu protsessist. “Kohevuse” tekkimisel tuleks see laudadelt kergelt maha harjata.
Õigesti paigaldatuna on Kivipuu puit väga ilmastikukindel. Pind tõrjub mustust ja vett ning tänu sellele on toode vastupidav ja ilus paljudeks aastateks. Kivipuu puitu pole vaja õlitada ega muul viisil töödelda. Paigaldamise ajal tuleb lõikepinnad töödelda spetsiaalse puidukaitsevahendiga (Puumarketi tootekood 115345)
Kivipuu on tulekindlam, kui töötlemata puit. Kasutatud materjalide tõttu muutub puit kivisarnaseks, mis kaitseb seda efektiivselt põlemise eest.
