Reinforced Hydrosafe® vapour barrier membrane is a versatile, high-performance humidity-variable vapour barrier for all fibrous insulation materials, including blown insulation. Its reinforced construction is strong and tear-resistant and permits installation both below insulation and above it on a solid substrate.
The membrane can serve as an internal vapour and air barrier in diffusion-open external structures and vapour-tight assemblies such as flat, pitched and green roofs. It is also suitable where it may remain permanently exposed to diffuse UV radiation, for example when no interior lining is installed.
During construction, the membrane protects structures from weather on roofs with pitches from 10°. Hydrosafe® technology regulates water vapour movement according to humidity, helping reduce condensation risk and prevent moisture damage and mould.
